Why Install Solar Power?

That power generation is of the utmost important for any country, whether it is a developing country or a western one, goes without saying. What sort of modern life without electricity would we have? No electric lighting, no air-conditioning, no TV or radio. Not even a vacuum cleaner or refrigerator.

Historically, a country's economy has been based largely on its industrial and agricultural growth. For industrial growth, we need adequate power. The conventional methods of power generation such as coal and gas power stations or nuclear power, have their limitations and are already causing dangerous environmental problems such as global warming and climate change. Within a generation or two we will start to run out of carbon-based fuels.

Global Warming

It is only by turning torenewable energy, such as wind, solar and wave power that we can continue to generate sufficient electricity for our economy and our homes. While large centralized wind and solar power plants have their place, we can individually do our bit for the environment by installing solar or wind power generation in our own homes. Of the two, solar power has the lowest environmental impact. Try building a giant windmill in your back yard and see how your neighbors react!

Solar power generation is simple and pollution free. We can use this boundless solar energy to generate electricity from our own rooftops, reducing our personal dependence on both the price rises from the local utility company and the vagaries of national energy policy.
